WDSA was created after the successful 1998 PDGA Am World Championships held in Appleton by founding members Don Hoffman, Barry Schultz, Terre Carlson, John Terlap, Tom Jenkins, Eric Paulson, Randy Schukar and Brad Wendt . Barry, Terre and Eric have since left the organization and Terry Miller , Sergio Correa and Jim Van Lanen currently hold those board seats.  The association serves all disiplines of flying disc sports including but not limited to Disc Golf, Ultimate, Overall, Free Style, Guts and Double Disc Court.  WDSA has run the Wisconsin Disc Golf Tour since 1998 and established a disc sports development fund through the tour that has funded over 60 projects since 2001. Information about requesting funds for upcoming projects is available on their website

HistoryEdit

The tour started with four stops including Madison, Milwaukee, Stevens Point and Appleton.
